Partner Event: The Future of UK Environmental Governance Post-Brexit Stakeholder Event

Date

October 26, 2017

Location

Edinburgh

RSVP

The UK’s prospective exit from the EU thus has major ramifications for the future development and implementation of environmental policy. This series of events will consider how to design new policies and governance arrangements once we leave the EU.

We are a group of academics funded by the UK in a Changing Europe to investigate the implications of Brexit for the future of environmental governance in the UK. Our aim is to deliver independent and impartial advice and information to policy-makers and the public. We are holding four stakeholder events (one in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and England) to gather views on the key challenges and opportunities posed by Brexit for UK environmental policy. After this data-gathering exercise we will develop a set of scenarios for each of the devolved nations and the UK as a whole.
