SEA and PRASEG welcome Energy and Clean Growth Minister Claire Perry to the Energy Innovation Exhibition

Event date: Monday 5 March 2018

Location: Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, London

Co-hosted by the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA) and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Renewable and Sustainability Energy (PRASEG), the event aims to raise awareness with parliamentarians of innovative, energy efficient and low carbon technologies.

Minister of State for Energy and Clean Growth, Claire Perry MP

Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change, Alan Whitehead MP

Lesley Rudd, Chief Executive of the SEA said:

“Britain has long been an innovative nation. We led the first industrial revolution and we have the opportunity to lead the second; the clean energy revolution. I look forward to welcoming Claire Perry, Minister of State for Energy and Clean Growth and showcasing a range of innovative technologies that are being developed. Using energy efficiently is vital if we are to save money and save the planet and innovation can transform the way we use energy.”

Ron Bailey, SEA’s Head of Parliamentary Affairs:

“I am excited to welcome Claire Perry, Alan Whitehead and all parliamentarians attending the event to showcase some of the best low carbon and energy efficient innovations in the UK. Among the exhibitors we have a technology that ‘listens’ to your gas meter, the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell boiler, a system providing free heating, ventilation and hot water with no carbon emissions, a technology that ‘sees’ just where a building is losing heat, solutions that turn waste into energy, and insulation that actually absorbs as well as saves carbon. All these technologies need a stable policy framework in order to help create a cheaper, greener and more secure energy future.”

“PRASEG aims to promote sustainable energy in parliament and the wider political community. We are therefore delighted to be hosting this exhibition with the Sustainable Energy Association. The Exhibition will be a great opportunity for MPs, Peers and their staff to learn more about a range of innovative solutions that will help to deliver the Government’s Clean Growth Strategy, reduce emissions, lower energy bills and improve the comfort of households across the country.”
