Commenting on the result, former Vice President, Donald Daw said:

“I have greatly enjoyed my time as Vice President of the organisation over the past four years – a period that has seen considerable steps forward in Government policy to benefit the sector. I am particularly pleased to have chaired the Executive Committee during the recent move to become the Sustainable Energy Association and oversee it officially adopt a much more integrated approach to energy efficiency and low carbon and renewable energy production in buildings. Bill Rumble has been an increasingly active and constructive member of the Executive Committee and at such an important stage in policy development, I am pleased to hand over to such a capable new Chair. I look forward to continuing to be an active participant in the organisation as it embarks on an exciting new agenda at a crucial time for the industry”.

Chair Elect, Bill Rumble, said:

“Donald Daw has been an excellent Chair for the past four years and has seen the organisation achieve some major steps forward in influencing Government policy. During 2013 he oversaw the organisation’s transition to become the Sustainable Energy Association, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to build on those achievements. This is a key time in the policy development and political cycle for the development of the industry, and the proper integration of policy between energy efficiency and low carbon energy production in buildings to match the realities of how the market now operates will be my top priority in assuming the Vice Presidency. I would like, on behalf of all of the Executive Committee, to express sincere thanks to Donald for his years of service and look forward to continued close working with him and the rest of the Executive.”
