Samantha is a Policy Advisor at the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA). She uses her knowledge of energy efficiency, heat and building policy to advise and support SEA members and also to inform policy development more widely. Sam is the author of Energy Efficiency – A Policy Pathway for the able to pay a document which continues to inform the development of energy efficiency policy. Sam is an expert in the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and has recently led the organisation of and participated in two large (100+) workshops hosted by the SEA and the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy to drive innovation in ECO.
Sam has an BSc (Hons) in Environment, Economics, and Ecology from the University of York accredited by the Institute of Environmental Sciences. Whilst working at the SEA Sam has established excellent relationships with policy makers, local authorities and leading industry players and this together with her academic background has enabled her to become an important contributor to energy efficiency policy development.
Sam has also been appointed as a Young Board Member of the Sustainable Housing Action Partnership (SHAP).
